Community

Acknowledgment

Cherry Blossom Early Learning Centre acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land where we work and live. We pay our respects to the Elders past, present and emerging. We celebrate the stories, culture and traditions of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders of all communities who also work and live on this land.

Community Networking

We are delighted to have strong connections in the local and broader community areas. We regularly receive visitors from our local area with donations for the children’s play and art experiences as well as time for conversations about what’s happening in our neighborhood.

We believe in the importance of supporting local and small businesses. We are always sharing and recommending family and community businesses through various ways. Check out our Facebook page and Instagram for pages we like and follow. There are lots of great community resources in our family library as well!

We’re also members of various online groups related to small businesses in the Blue Mountains as well as family businesses. We have established connections with many other local small family businesses, purchasing their products and resources for use and promotions at our centre, as well as sharing our journey as businesses in the local area. Examples of this include our fair trade resources and bamboo food-ware.

We welcome all community networking opportunities. If you would like to network with us, contact us today!

Community Events

Annually our children go on a bus excursion around the local Blue Mountains area on the double decker Explorer bus. This is a great whole centre experience and allows for some lovely sight seeing together.

We ensure children experience hands on learning and educational presentations with community members, having various emergency services visit our centre each year including RFS, SES, police

Cherry Blossom ELC continues to donate to local community organisation and fundraising causes. We are proud to support our local community and if you would like to let us know of local community events we can be a part of, please contact us.
